Safe Merge Is Now CRM Data Backup & Restore by Third Space

What changed?

Only the name and the web address changed. Safe Merge became CRM Data Backup & Restore by Third Space in July 2026, and the site moved from safemerge.app to crmbackup.io. It is the same app on the same HubSpot Marketplace listing, with the same plans, the same pricing, and the same portal connections.

Do existing Safe Merge customers need to do anything?

No. Existing Safe Merge customers do not need to reinstall, reconnect, or change anything. The app was renamed CRM Data Backup & Restore by Third Space in July 2026, and safemerge.app now redirects to crmbackup.io. Your HubSpot portal connection, your stored backups, and your plan, including the Free plan's 2,000-record cap, all carry over unchanged.

Why the new name?

The new name describes what the product does. CRM Data Backup & Restore by Third Space runs automated backups of your HubSpot contacts, companies, and deals and restores them in one click when something goes wrong. Safe Merge described a single feature, and the product outgrew it. The July 2026 rename changed the customer-facing name and domain only.

Is Emergency Unmerge affected?

No. Emergency Unmerge is a separate product at emergencyunmerge.com and is unchanged by the rename. It still reconstructs records absorbed in HubSpot merges, with credits from $4.99 and no subscription required. Paid CRM Data Backup & Restore by Third Space plans still include monthly Emergency Unmerge operations: 10 on Starter, 25 on Growth, 50 on Pro, and unlimited on Enterprise.
